Q. Recently I took my wife to doctor when she was unwell. It was found that she had TB and doctor after prescribing medicines and advice to stay away from sex for three months and also avoid kissing after three months. I did not tell doctor that I had sex with my wife till now. Did I get TB as I had sex with her?
Ans: TB will not come due to sex but when TB patient cough and sneezes the virus reach other persons easily and thus affect them. During kissing bacteria will easily enter a healthy person and that was the reason doctor asked not to kiss. With TB treatment in three months time the bacteria will be killed and it will not be infected. Since you stayed near your wife chances are there that you may be infected. Get tested with doctor and your doubts will be cleared.
